6、Background：

Recombinant human IL-15 is a cytokine that regulates the activation and proliferation of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, and is mainly produced by monocytes and macrophages. IL-15 has similar biological functions to IL-2 and shares the γc receptor subunit with IL-2. Both can induce the differentiation of T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells (NK cells), and promote the proliferation of T cells, B cells, and NK cells. However, the advantage of IL-15 in immune cell therapy is that it does not cause apoptosis of activated T cells. Another characteristic of IL-15 in immunotherapy is that it maintains memory T cells, thus playing an important role in long-term anti-tumor activity. As a pleiotropic cytokine, IL-15 plays an important role in immunity, tumorigenesis, allergic reactions, and autoimmune diseases.
